Doing Business Locally
Don Sherman, founder of Sherman-Kricker Insurance agency believed in always doing business locally whenever possible – as he felt that’s what makes a small town thrive. In some instances you may pay slightly more but the benefits you reap from far outweigh the additional costs. This philosophy is shared by his wife Faye and his children, Tony Sherman and Sally Bias, the current owners of Sherman-Kricker Insurance.
When the agency built their offices at 820 Chillicothe St. Josh Sherman (Tony’s son) and Tim Sherman (brother of Tony and Sally) were the general contractors. They went through the local unions such as the Laborer’s and Electrical when they needed to sub out labor. All materials in the building were purchased at local building supplies companies and the carpet and furniture were purchased locally.
We at Sherman Kricker feel more comfortable dealing with people that we know in our community and feel we get much better service when we do so. We think the same applies when you are placing your insurance coverage. Price of course is always a factor but when you have a claim or a problem you’ll always be glad that you kept it locally when you can call our agency and talk to a friend that you know and will always be looking out for your best interest.
